Getting the flagship gpu from nvidia (next gen coming out this year). 2080 or whatever it will be called

Can my CPU handle the high framerates at 2k while getting 144hz? Or do i need to upgrade this too?

Looking at the PG279Q from ASUS

Solution
It should run those framerates well paired with a GTX 2080/1180 or whatever it will be called really well. Consider overclocking it for some extra if you haven't already, it is an unlocked CPU. For the games it can't do, not much upgrades you could really make anyway. An 8700K/8086K are some of the few CPUs that would be capable of higher max FPS output than your current 4770K but in most instances it shouldn't let you down. Hope this helps! :)
