Hi everyone I'm looking to build a Gaming Pc and came across a rather difficult choice:

Intel Vs Amd...

So I found these 2 option: the 5 10400f and the 5 3600. the're both about the same price give or take a few bucks.
i have no intention of doing any overclocking or anything like that. i just want the cpu that will give me the best bang for buck.

Both Cpu's come with 16 gb ddr4 ram and an Asus Tuf motherboard (b450 and b460)

I have a rx5500xt gpu and a 650w antec psu

(Please note i intend to use the stock cooler)

Pretty sure you're going to be limited to 2666 MHz RAM with the intel platform unless you go for z-series motherboard.
The most bang for the buck will be b450 + R5 3600 + 3200 MHz(or even 3600) RAM. 10400F performs similar to the R5 3600 but mainly in scenarios where it gets the high speed RAM and on H410/B460 you cant go above 2666 for now. You CAN go 3600 MHz on the AMD Platform. If you want the most out of your CPU you're gonna need high speed RAM.

this video should answer all your questions. I recommend b450 since if you do feel like it, b450 will support Zen 3(Ryzen 5000) Next year so if you feel like you need a speed bump without changing anything else then you can upgrade to a R5 5600X down the line.
