Intel 530 Solid State Drive

I'm planning to buy a new ssd drive for my vaio, because the old is die 🙁

I want to ask, is this Drive (Intel 530 Solid State Drive ) is compatible with my laptop (Vaio VPCZ116) ?

Your laptop has the HM55 chipset MB, which has the sataII ports, also it came with the SSD too. The intel 530 will fit well.

and I want ask what best choose between Intel 530 Solid State Drive vs Kingston Digital 120GB SSDNow V300 SATA 3
I use a lot torrent \ and always (every mounth) take a backup of the system.
any advice !!!

Please save more and get the Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120 GB.It kills the 530 easily and is over 2 times faster for just a slightly higher price.It's currently the best in the market.Kingston are crap.

my old ssd who died from samsung, so I want to try with new brand

Then,Intel is a better choice.Though,Samsung uses better V-NAND Tech (More Reliable and of course Faster).Kingston were crap as mine also failed.

I don't see the option for changing the SATA option from IDE to AHCI or Raid in BIOS ?
