Intel 6th gen 6700k or 7th gen 7700k

Hello Every one.
I want to upgrade my Intel i5 4570 to intel i7 as currently my cpu bottleneck with my zotac 1070 amp extreme edition so i don't know should i go with 7th gen or stick to the 6th gen i7.

What resolution and Hz will you be gaming at? Your CPU may or may not be an issue depending on this. If buying now might as well go for the 7700k unless the 6700k is significantly cheaper. The 7700k overclocks a little better and gas a higher stock speed.

there are no real differences between the two as the 7th gen is just a minor change from the 6th gen. depending on where you get your CPU the 7700k may be a little cheaper then the 6700k

I would always buy current gen.
The processors and motherboards cost the same, and you get more performance at every price point.
For i7-7700K,
any Z270 based motherboard will allow overclocking and perform about the same.

For a gamer, you may find that a cheaper I5-7600K with an overclock will do just as well.
Few games can use I7 hyperthreads.

As currently i have a lcd in whichh my resoultion is 1440 multiple 900 but i play games by turning on dsr and on 1920multiple 1200 and will soon buy benq xl 2430t. My fps drops alot as my cpu in bf1 is 100 percent usage always thats why i m thinking to upgrade

The price difference is not that much btw i7 6700k and i7700k but the price difference btw mobs are so much that i m thinking of 6th gen but my frnds told me to go with 7th gen

Unless you have a particular extra need, like sli(which I DO NOT recommend)
or, a favorite brand,
then look for the least expensive Z270 motherboard.
