Intel 7260 AC NIC on HP DV 9500 laptop

does anyone know if this NIC works on this particular model of HP laptop released in 2007-8

Depends if the network card is on HP's infamous white list that is coded into the laptops firmware which I doubt.

You could contact HP support and demand that as the laptop is no longer in warranty, that any company lockouts are invalid and that they are illegally restricting you from using your own property, I believe somewhere there was a law suit that made them do this.

thanks but I am not sure if the bios will accept it . because I have the 2nd last version of the bios for this laptop, the last version of the bios only corrects something minor
