[SOLVED] Intel 945GME extend and clone monotor issue

Hello everyone!
This is my first post on Tomshardware. I hope I have sorted my problem in the correct category.
I have a G5C900-B board (Datasheet can be found here) with integrated Intel 945gme chipset. Unfortunately the hardware cannot be replaced so easily and must now be updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The update process worked great except for the graphics driver. The system has two proprietary monitors (lvds) connected to the chipset and now they only work individually and no longer in extended or clone mode.
The system was configured with Windows 7 and the version 6.14.10.4926 of the Intel driver. With Windows 10 I used the latest driver 8.15.10.1930. I also tried to install the old driver which worked fine with Windows 7 now on Windows 10 (adjusted the inf file in setup). It installed but crashed with a Code 37 error. The problem is that Windows 10 shows me that it has detected two monitors but when switching on the clone or extended mode the screen flickers for about 1 second and then automatically switches back to single screen. I hope someone has ideas for me what I could try....

Why you had to upgrade ten-years old computer to Windows 10 if it was used for a specific task?

I suppose your only solution is to go back to supported system. And "The hardware cannot be replaced so easily": That motherboard someday WILL die. Make sure you have contingency plan in place.

The thing is that the device will be replaced by the end of 2020, because there is a major upgrade planned. Also we have more than enough spare parts to maintain the old system therefore it would really hurt...
