Hi! I was wondering what are the differences between this 2?

I know Intel rules on single core, and AMD has up to 8 cores.
But how many apps can use 4-6 cores?
Are the new games demanding more and more cores?
An intel with 4 cores but with HP is far superior than one fx 9****?
What kind of apps use 2,4,6 cores?

Some applications that uses more than two and 4 cores are mostly programs that are used by industry like rendering, animation, large file compression, scientific programs for large number crunching, etc.

If you're all about gaming, than a quad core would be a wise choice. But even then, most games uses 2 cores even to this day, and rare are the ones who use more. And I don't expect that they will use more in the future.
For better reference, I would advise that you check out this thread : http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1910252/quad-core-processor-gaming-rig.html and this webpage : http://superuser.com/questions/2489/cpu-cores-the-more-the-better

But the best answer says games will use more cores in the future...

The people that are going to tell you a dual is just fine are the guys that are trying to justify their purchases blindly disregarding evidence and computing trends right in front of their face. Simple facts are that the enthusiast computing arena has been becoming more and more threaded as time has gone on. 5 years ago no major games or editing softwares used more than one core, now basically EVERY major game release in the past year and most every major rendering/editing suite in the past few years all have the ability to use more than 2 cores and show a performance benefit from doing so. Even so take into consideration multi taking, say you are gaming and you want to alt tab in between 10 other programs and a bunch of flash tabs in your internet browser, or edit while you game or stream or DL while you game... Do you see the point I am making ?? Games are using more cores FACT, even if playing old games the multi tasking ability of a modern quad will result in a much more well rounded machine and with legit quads available as low as $90 how can you even question it ?
