Hello,
Conspiracy?? Is it possible? That within the processors lythographic make somwhere hidden within the archtiecture is a stored list of encrypted "ip addresses" That are used against public knowledge in conjunction with the CIA to track and monitor web usage? Is this even possible. Logically to me in seems not but I thought I would ask the pros? Can it be done and If so is it possible, to find how it would be possible?

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER EXACTLY WHERE YOU WERE WHEN YOU HEARD THE NEWS.

All pentium 3 chips had a unique identifying code that allowed the computer to be traced.

After a public outcry it was disabled in BIOS , but remained on die

It wouldnt be a surprise if similar tech was still used but not publicized , for warranty purposes if nothing else

Also the NSA and CIA do take very close attention to hardware manufacture for security reasons . No point making high tech weapons if the enemy has a way of remotely turning your cpu's off for instance

Yes ... we here like to watch what you type and interpret what your really thinking about.

Mingo ... take notes on them all ... especially that olmangamer guy ... he has shifty eyes and sweaty palms ... probably wears a funny hat too ...

Roger that

If anyone sees an umarked black van outside their homes they are just ummm fixing the internet.......Nothing to see here move along.

IIRC there was some rental company that would install a backdoor on their laptops & desktops that they would rent out to customers. If the customers got behind on their payments, the company would secretly turn on the webcam and record all activity the camera could pick up. Dunno how that enabled them to collect payments - maybe they thought they could post embarrassing videos on Facebook or something..

Also, there was some guy at Best Buy or some such who would also install an app on laptops brought in for repair by female customers. It would secretly turn on the webcam and then pop up some message about needing to clean the webcam lens and suggest taking the laptop into the bathroom. Obviously the guy was hoping the female customer would take a shower while in the bathroom 😛
