Hi I'm planning to get a cost-effective tablet hybrid for schoolwork(documents), schoolwork(IT coding with Java using BlueJ and Netbeans etc), some media like 1080p and/or 720p 10-bit content and Internet

So I picked what seems to be the best deal, Asus T100, I even found the 500GB version here, would its Baytrail Quad Core Z3740 1.33 GHz Processor with 2GB RAM be good enough for those tasks? particularly the Java coding and compiling, 720 10-bit and 1080p content

Full Specs
Intel® Bay Trail-T Quad Core Z3740 1.33 GHz Processor
Windows 8.1
10.1" 16:9 IPS HD (1366x768) with Multi-Touch Screen
Integrated Intel® HD Graphics
32GB eMMC with 500GB HDD

Silvermont is a strong architecture, and have been very successful in its area.

It depends on how heavy your are coding, if you are coding very heavy memory applications it might not be enough. Also be careful of memory-leaks, as you don't have much headroom.

I would certainly consider it.

Honestly I don't know.
I haven't been looking into windows 8, but my guesses is it is not very memory-depended(The OS itself)(compared to windows 7).

I don't think it would lag, and it should be efficient.

get its hp counterpart it is much more processing power !

counterpart-http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Laptops/HP-Pavilion/E9W54AV?HP-Pavilion-11t-h100-x2-PC
cpu-http://ark.intel.com/products/79049/Intel-Pentium-Processor-N3520-2M-Cache-up-to-2_42-GHz

but it comes with a 64gb ssd :( but not to worry you really don't need it with cloud services and this hp 2 in 1 has a128 gb ssd option!

I would never willingly recommend anything from HP to anyone. The fact it's equipped with an SSD changes nothing. An SSD is a very easy upgrade option to any computer down the line.

I wouldent either one as hp is just shit and the t100 has poor processing I would recommend the ASUS X200 the quad core Pentium it is much better with 4gb ram and a 500 gb hdd upto 1tb
