Dear All, I am looking to build a PC with 600USD budget and would mainly use it for CorelDraw, some photos transferring and minor editing.

Please help recommend me on the specifications. Would prefer an Intel build though. :)

I mean you could always go with a cheaper GPU. Like an RX 460 or gtx 1050 when they come out.

Do you do any gaming? If not you could probably go with a cheaper GPU, and get a Xeon.

I mean this can handle gaming even pretty well. Surprised how the prices played out.

If you're doing NO gaming and want minimum specs, a muc cheaper build would work. But I mean here.

Solution

These builds aren't really that good for Corel Draw- it's mainly single thread dependent and the biggest bottleneck is storage. It needs very little in terms of GPU.

My suggestion: Fastest single core performance you can get (so a higher clocked i5 is probably ideal). Plenty of ram as Corel can chew through quite a lot with larger files (I'd suggest 16gb) and a SSD.

Don't bother with a discreet GPU, it doesn't need it the current Intel igpu are fine.

Well single core it is then. Steal with this. Or a pentium G4400 instead of an i3.
I5 aren't really good a single thread. Compared to i3 or pentium. Honestly of looking at it go 6500

Well the i5 has turbo whereas i3 doesn't- so the i5 might be slightly quicker in single thread tasks, but I agree there ins't much in it. That all looks good to me, and a discreet graphics card can always be added at a later date if needed.

Hi, pls comment the build below :

CPU : AMD A10-7870k
Cooler : Xigmatek Colosseum CPU Cooler
Motherboard : Asrock FM2A88X+ Killer Mainboard
Memory : Kingston Hyper-X Fury 16GB PC1866
Storage : Sandisk Z400s 256GB SSD
Storage : Toshiba 2TB HDD
Optical Drive : Asus 24X DVDRW
Power Supply : Aerocool AF500 500W Power Supply
Case : Cooler Master RC-361 USB3.0 Slim Casing

VGA - Unsure which to be added...

I am from Malaysia btw.

Appreciate your help in commenting. TQVM

That would work ok, although I think the Core i3 build @Ryan_78 suggested would be faster. The reason for this is Intel currently have a big advantage in per core performance- the i3 6100 is faster in most applications than AMD's 5ghz FX 9590. Hopefully that situation will change later this year when AMD release their all new Zen design, but at the moment their per core and per clock performance isn't great.

The main advantage of an AMD Apu like you've suggested, over an Intel build, is the APU have much better integrated graphics (based on AMD's Radeon gpu's). That said Corel doesn't really support much graphics acceleration so it isn't going to benefit it much. On the other hand, if you think you might fancy a bit of light gaming in the future the A10 would make sense (I think it would be fast enough for Corel for most things, the biggest performance benefit is using the SSD).

One other thing, if you are going the AMD APU route, make sure to nuy a matched kit of ram- so if you're going for 16gb, make sure you buy a 2 x 8gb kit rather than a single 16gb module. This is because with two matched memory modules, you get 'dual channel' mode which doubles the performance of the ram. That is very important to help maximise the performance of the integrated gpu in that A10.

Honestly get the i3. Overall, the improvements made on the Intel igpu have been great. Honestly broadwell I gpus are as good as r7 250x or so,what. The one on the i3 is at r7 250 level. It could play games low end fine.
Also the AMD performance is nowhere close to the i3. The i3 passmark for single tread is 2100 or so. The AMD one is 1700max. Also the multi core is about the same. Get the i3.

Will adding a graphic card make it work faster for the coreldraw? GeForce 750 can do?
Given that I have got the budget, should I upgrade it to I5 ?

honestly, as he said, its much more single threaded. the i3 outperforms the i5 in that case, architectureal wise.
honestly its up to you. you can get an i5 or an i3, and add a GPU later when you feel like it.

the RX 470 and RX 460 are both low budget cards, 110-150 and outperform the GTX 750. tey are released the 29th
