Hahahaha!!! That’s why AMD took the game in crown right?

Basically Intel can’t compete. their chips use way too much power and run way too hot and until they stop being stupid this isn’t going to end. They are not anything to be proud of. The only advantage they have is the size of their company
Yeah, because gaming is everything that counts, right, nothing else/s
A German tech magazine ran both the 5800X3D and the 12900KS at the highest officially supported RAM speeds, DDR4-3200 for the 5800X3D and DDR5-4400 for the 12900KS respectively. From what I remember early tests showing, DDR5 has a performance advantage, but very fast DDR4 RAM should still give similar results as the slow DDR5 RAM used here. They came out basically equal (sorry, but a 0.1% difference is measurement tolerance, nothing else), with the 5800X3D leading in some games and the 12900KS in others, while utterly destroying the 5800X3D in productivity, meaning its the far better allrounder. This, however, always depends on the games tested, and looking at Hardware Unboxed, where the 12900K is only 1% behind the 5800X3D and the 12900KSnot even tested, the 5800X3D is far from being the processor with the best gaming performance overall. And while productivity might not matter to you, it certainly does to others, and being awesome in one area while garbage compared to similar chips (ie everything else in its price range) is not an indicator for absolute technical superiority. Also, other tests imply, or outright show, that higher RAM speeds give the 12900KS a lead over the 5800X3D. And even thr tests that saw them equal or the 5800X3D ahead said that it isn't a recommendation for any and all gamers, even, it highly depends on what you play and what else you want to do with the processor.
So tl;dr, it's still, as always, choose the CPU according to your needs, not according to what the company claims. You AMD fanboys might not understand that, but that's a simple, hard fact in everything computer related.
For me, I hope for a closer match-up in the server area in the near future even if I'm not really a direct stakeholder here. It can only benefit customers to not have a monopoly, as seen time and time again and again.
Edit: Also, Intel needs to work on power consumption, no question. However, considering that Alder Lake is already more efficient than previous chips, and Raptor Lake seemingly heading in the same direction, I think they can manage that, too.
