i have an notebook samsung np300e4c - ad4br, it came with an intel celeron b820 dual core, i have bought an intel core i5 3320m, they use the exact same socket, and my chipset is an intel hm70, on the first test everything went fine, my computer was way more fast, but after arround 30min the computer shuts down, them i checked the system temperature, was arround 50Cº.
i already downloaded the lastest bios, the computer runs nice and smooth, but everytime after 30min +- it shuts down, i already boosted the system fan, already downloaded IntelProcessor Diagnostic Tool 64bit, the processor passes on every test. don't know what to do anymore.
need some help to discover what is happening.

Solution

the celeron you have is based on sandy bridge 32nm fabrication / the i5 is based on ivy bridge 22nm , most probably those would have sandy bridge i3. anyway since both cpu are 35w rated you shouldnt have power problems , however you could try without the battery and with another A/C adapter of higher rated Wh to rule out any possible power issue.
in some models of this same mobo it came with an core i3, i already disabled and enabled hyper threading on bios and turbo boost, but the results are the same
