Question Intel contact frame?

Title says it. I’ve built amd systems for years. My experience with Intel systems is typically prebuilt Dell systems at work. So usually not needing to dismount cpu coolers etc on those, plus we are talking office PCs not gaming systems.

So when it comes to building an Intel box I’m a newb. However except for the new ssd and new motherboard I’ve got almost all my components together. Simply waiting on the new case to arrive.

That said I’m seeing this stuff about bent CPUs and how the contact frames lower temps etc. So for the 20 bucks for a Thermalright frame should I get one?

Here’s the system I’ll have

I5 12600kf-got for $140 on sale at Amazon
Motherboard-going to stop at microcenter on my way from work on Wednesday evening to pick up a board. Probably something in the range of a b660, b760 or a z series
32gb gskill trident z 3200mhz-reusing from old amd build
SSD- will likely purchase Wednesday since my current nvme is only 250gb. For a boot drive it’s fine but at the pricing now why not pick one up.
Case-on the way from Newegg. Fractal Design Focus G. Got the blue one. May seem a little plain but kind of classic
PSU-Corsair rmx 850 modular. It’s between 2-3 years old but should still be good and is highly rated.
GPU-Powercolor Red Devil 6700xt

Oh yes for cpu cooler, based on recommendations from the forum, I selected the Thermalright peerless assassin 120 se in white with rgb fans.

So anyway contact frame, needed or not? Is it hard to install? From what I can see pop 4 torx screws off from around the socket, pull the factory retention mechanism, drop in the cpu and place the frame down. Any special things to know when tightening the screws again? Anything to watch out for from anyone who’s done this?

Note that when I purchase the board at microcenter I intend to get their 2 year warranty on the board in case of issues/mishaps.
