Hi.

I have a Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 from my old Acer Aspire 5930g.

My laptop is dead but the cpu is still ok.
I would like to use it in a mini iTX motherboard but i have no idea which one will be compatible.

My processor is a Core 2 Duo P8400 and i have found out that it must be used with a Socket P of 479 pins:

- Socket P / Micro Flip-Chip Pin Grid Array (Micro-FCPGA) with 479 pins (ZIF)

- Socket mPGA479M or Micro Flip-Chip Ball Grid Array (Micro-FCBGA) (479 pins)

I have no idea where and how to find a compatible desktop motherboard.

Any help from you guys will be wonderful.

Thanks.

Max.

If this a motherboard for a laptop, Changing these out you have to be very very careful and it is pretty hard to find one that'll work well. Not all Motherboards that are the right size and socket will work with that laptop, Just if you know, Do you know the voltage of your current battery?
