Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 vs Intel Xeon 5160

I am already using Xeon Dual core 5160 I have an option of Dell T3400 machine which has Core 2 Quad Q9550 and SLi. should I move for it? my current machine is precision 490 dell.

The new system is overall better than your current one. It would be certainly better for gaming, & also should provide a performance boost for general purpose everyday apps. So yes, you can go for it.
