How will this rig act in newer games and so on?

Will be the CPU too much bottleneck for this GPU?

Will a slight OC of the CPU help?

Average fps in newer games? Approximately for example: GTA V, Resident Evil 7, Far Cry 4, The Witcher -> Everything Medium to High Settings at 1080p.

Im running low budget so I want to know as much info about this rig as I can get.

Every respond will be much appreciated!

Overall system specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3.0GHz
NVidia GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 OC Zotac
8GB DDR2 Ram
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Classic Sata HDD 7200rpm

Thanks.

Q9650 in most of these titles is pretty close to a I3 6300.

Far Cry 4 Medium settings... Average around 45 FPS
GTA V High settings... Average around 52 FPS
Resident Evil 7 Very High settings... Average above 60+ FPS
The Witcher 3.. Medium with Hair works off.. Average 40 FPS

These were from a Stock Q9650 and a GTX 950 so your results will be slightly higher.

Thanks alot man for your respond! Appreciate it a lot!

Thanks alot man! Much appreciated this answer! Couldn´t find this info on youtube, google and so on.

Thanks alot to everybody, who responded to me!

Have a nice day everyone! :)

Also, I would like to kindly ask you, if the OC of the GPU will help too.

I am running a q9650 with a gtx 1050 ti OC XLR8 edition with 8gb of ddr3 and I'm running Doom on ultra at 60fps, evil within on high, fallout 4 on high with 60fps

Your setup should be fine what motherboard are you using

I am currently using OEM HP mobo with no OC settings in Bios. But, anyway, it does pretty well as you say.

Brother, I am using q9650 stock, with 8gb ddr3 ram and sapphire R7 370 2gb... if I upgrade my gpu to gtx 1050ti oc G1 edition, will that be good enough to play battlefield 1, fifa 18 on high settings at 1080p? I dont want to spend too much on new cpu right now..

With my set up (q9650, gtx 1050 ti) I am getting 60 fps on ultra with battlefield 1, and fifa 17 runs beautifully on ultra spec and since 18 is using the same frostbite engine it should be the same performance

Q9650 Stock and 1050 ti in BF1 "1080p Ultra settings" Will average in the high 50's for fps and overclocked you can probably come close to staying above 60fps. Moving from a R7 370 to a 1050ti is a noticeable difference in all titles in some it's nearly double the performance will others only less than 10fps gain. BF 1 for example will give you 10+ fps after the upgrade.

A Q9650 overclocked has similar performance to a Fx 6200, expect Medium to High settings and playable Fps that will spike. That is to be expected out of a Cpu pushing 10 years old.
