Hi!

I read Wusys guide and informed myself on the net about the potential of the new Intel dual core cpus and want to buy the named system.

Do you guys think that it makes sense to get this cpu and board and that it shouldnt be difficult to overclock the cpu?

How big is the chance that it will sabily run with this specific processor (are the new series as good as the past ones here???)

I did overclocking pretty regulary a few years ago but now lost touch with the new dual core cpu's so I

:) REALLY appreciate your help here! :)

Thanks well in advance,

Hi Roko,
I have that board and i'd give it a big thumbs up but as far as the chip goes i'd look around before buying if i were you. I'm an expat in Thailand and a couple of weeks ago the prices of the 6400 and 6600 both fell to the price of the 6300 so i'd advise shopping around for this offer and getting a 6600 cheap.
Cheers,
Panface.

Hi!

thanks for the answer!

did you overclock yours?
is the board stable long term wise?

another question is if the 6400 and 6600 cpus are as easy to overclock than the rest is?!?

Im using my pc mainly for music production so Im wondering if Overclocking will impact anything?? Any annoying noises?? How much higher does the Fan go when Cpu is overlocked regulary?

Thanks for your help,
Roc

I was also looking for GA-965p-DS3P model for my PC. I called directly to Gigabyte and ask for that model and he told me that Gigabyte isn't going to release this MB in USA market.
