Intel Core i3 3220 vs AMD FX-6300

I am totally confused what to buy and I dont care about the power consumption. I always buy Intel processors and this time I saw that FX-6300 is much better than i3 3220 but Intel is trusted. I play games like crysis 3, battlefield 4,skyrim etc with my GTX 650 and 8gb RAM. I am worried AMD may be get corrupt in one year is that possible.

Where did you get the crazy idea that AMD may get corrupt???? Crysis 3 and BF4, the FX is superior. Skyrim, the i3 will probably do better, but FX is still capable. I would go FX 6300 over the i3 3220.

i vote the fx 6300. it has 4 cores and i think its better on gaming + you can overclock for better performance. And i dont think so that amd cpus arent trusted, both are trusted just the intel perform better in med - high builds for gaming.
the only advantage of the 3220 is that you have more options to upgrade later in an much better cpu.

It depends.
If your game is FSX or BF3/4 multiplayer, then the 6 cores of a fx-6300 might be better.
But... few games can actually use more than the 2/3 cores so ai3 is often better.

I have no idea what you mean by amd corrupting. Their chips are as reliable as any others.

At your price point, either is a viable option.
Lower, and amd is a better value, higher than $125, Intel will perform better.

If you are in the market now, I would look towards June 2 when the Pentium K anniversary edition is launched.

Yes, they would be compatible. If at all possible, I would try to get a bit better GPU. A GTX 750ti would be a good fit.
