Intel core i3 4th gen or intel core i5 3 rd gen?

Alright so I have a hard choice to make idk whether to go with an intel core i3 4150 or an intel core i5 3330, i plan on mostly using it to watch videos on youtube (1080p 60fps) and maybe play some older games such as left 4 dead 2 and gmod (MEDIUM SETTINGS) maybe even some gta 5 (LOW SETTINGS)

WHICH SHOULD I GO WITH?

Why do you have the choice. Is it price, motherboard, availability of second hand chip?

The i5 3330 will have better many-thread performance with 4 real cores, although many games, especially older ones, will not take advantage of that. The i3 4160, because of it's higher clock is faster for one and two threads because of it's much higher clock speed (3.6Ghz vs 3.0Ghz). The i5 has turbo boost, but that only brings 3.0Ghz up to 3.2Ghz.

Cod titles like : MW 1,2,3 ,Bo 1,2
Battlefield 1,2,3
NFS: most wanted 2012
Fifa 12,13,14
PES 12,13,14
Hitman absolution
Farcry 3
and so on ...

but for example Farcry 3 with (i3 4150) Intel® HD Graphics 4400 is about 30FPS
