Intel Core i3 550, overheating or safe temperatures?

Hello so basically my cpu reaches temperatures of even 76°c and i've seen the specifications of the cpu and it says, maximum operating temperature 72.6°c (TCase)

It only reaches this temps when playing something like Crysis 2 or 3

Should i be worried ? or is it a safe temperature.

Max safe operating core temp is TCase+5 so you're just barely in there. To be safe you can upgrade your CPU cooling, but you're not too likely to have a problem. Intel rates their chips very conservatively.

If you do upgrade your cooling, I'd recommend something like the Cryorig H7, which is very good for a cooler that's < $35.

So that means i should only be worried if the cpu were to reach 80°c ?

I'm pretty sure those temps in your pic are Tjunction, not Tcase. Tcase is measured at the heat spreader, so there's only a single value for the entire CPU. Since your pic shows separate temps for each core, it's probably Tjunction, which is measured in the core itself, and is significantly hotter than Tcase.

Does MSI afterburner riva tunner also display the value of the tjunction then? cause it shows the same temps, also, the temperatures shown in the screenshot are current min and max
