So I have a AMD motherboard and I'm wanting to pick up a i5-6600k CPU. I know that they won't go together so I'm trying to figure out a good motherboard to upgrade to. I'm looking to spend around 100$ any suggestions and tips?
I personally would wait around til black Friday or cyber Monday and see what kind of deals are circulating though, you might be able to land a better board for a better price
EDIT: I just realized you got a K CPU, are you planning on OC'ing it? If not, get a regular 6600 and go for the board I linked to you. If you are OC'ing it, go for the best deal on a z170 board on black friday or cyber monday. You're not gonna get a good z170 for $100.

Yes, the new Skylake CPU's support DDR4 & DDR3L (low voltage). DDR3L runs at a lower voltage than regular DDR3 and is completely pointless, if your buying new RAM then just get DDR4.
