The non-K has HD graphics 2500, and the K has 4000. You are correct.

Ehm, mostly mid level gaming, and other unintensive things, like coding, etc. I'm concerned because, although not much a price difference, it just interests me to know more about what i'm buying, so the non k version is "locked" then?

Why are you looking at last gen chips? If you are gaming, the IGP doesn't matter, as you should be using a dedicated GPU anyway. For i5's the i5 4570 is a great deal right now.
