I'm building a new rig and can't decide which setup I should buy, mainly for gaming purposes & on budget.

short ver;

rig 1
mobo: GIGABYTE GA-Z87-HD3
cpu: Intel Core i5-4670K
gpu: Club 3D Radeon R9 280 royalKing

rig 2: (total price 200 euros cheaper than my complete intel build)
mobo: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0
cpu: AMD FX-8320
gpu: Club 3D Radeon R9 280 royalKing

I already know the I5 4670k blows out every other possible amd processor and is top tier, just wanne know how viable the setup would be for current/next-gen and how big the difference is.

well-argumented responses are very appreciated ^^

The Intel platform will have the edge when it comes to longevity for faster processors if the past has been any example. And Intel's desire to constantly change sockets will be at a rest for awhile since the 1150 is still in its first gen of processors. I don't think that AMD plans on any real advances in their AM3+ socket lineup.

Having said all that, neither platform you list will be a slouch. Both will game at max/near max settings. And the gfx card will be the limiting factor with either processor. If Gaming is not your main use, if video work is something you think you may want to do, the 8 'core' Vishera is hard to beat.
