Zen123 I can't currently advise you on Ryzen. But if you're going for an Intel build then I recommend the i5-7500 & B250 chipset motherboard, or Z270 if you plan to one day add an overclockable 'k' CPU or want to utilize Intel Optane with a HDD.
Currently they only make one ryzen mITX motherboard and where I checked it's out of stock. If you want to go ITX, you'll probably have to get an i5 as of right now, but if you're willing to bump up to mATX they have many boards to choose from, from around $70-$100.
Ryzen 1400, it's overclockable (the i5 is not), comes with a better cooler, is cheaper, and has 4 cores and 8 threads (the i5 has 4 cores and 4 threads).

Why would you not advise a ryzen CPU? Though it is true that the unlocked Intel CPUs are ahead by a few percent in gaming, the i5-7500 is locked, while the r5 1400 is unlocked, has thread-doubling, and is cheaper.
