Hi. I'm going to upgrade my toaster for the first time and I need some advice. I have an Amd Athlon 860K CPU,F2A78M-DS2 Motherboard and a gtx 750 ti.

I was thinking about upgrading my graphics card to a GTX 1070. Yes I know that the cpu will bottleneck it and i was thinking about upgrading that to an Intel Core i5 6600K. Now my question is, do both of these parts work with my motherboard or do i need to upgrade it too?

Solution
The video card would work, but it would be bottlenecked by the AMD CPU. That Intel CPU will not fit in that motherboard, though. Totally different sockets, totally different chipsets, totally different interface.
