Intel Core i5 7600k For Streaming CS:GO in 720p

Hi,
My brother started a youtube channel for streaming CS:GO about a month ago. He is using my old PC i.e
1. Intel Core i5 2500k 4.3 Ghz OC
2. 16gb 1866Mhz ram
3. Asus GTX970
4. Dell IN 2020M 1600X900 60Hz
The problem is that whenever he is trying to stream in 720p30 fps with above 1500 bit-rate, FPS drops drastically (from 240 to 60 fps approx). So I'm thinking about to upgrade the i5 2500k to i5 7600k.
But my locale pc parts vendor told me that i have to go for i7 7700k to do my job.
Is it really True? Because In India the difference between 7700k and 7600k is about 10000 Bucks which is pretty huge to me.
Please guys I need your advice🙁

Have him try Shadowplay. This offloads the encoding to the GPU instead of the CPU. CS: GO is so CPU intensive that it would be better to utilize the GPU instead.

But he preferred OBS because it has lot of customization. He is using OBS with NVENC encoder.

Does this happen if you do fullscreen only? or does this also happen in windowed mode?

He generally plays game in fullscreen windowed mode . He also tried in fullscreen mode.. But nothing helps. At the time he stop the streaming it goes back to normal.
One thing.. cpu uses get 100% always when streaming.

OBS uses as many CPU threads as you can give it. If the game needs two threads to run properly, that only leaves you with two threads for AV Compression. Adding cores is the only true way to help with OBS. You can try overclocking a bit more to get a little boost. Also, in the OBS settings, limit the available cores to two, so it doesn't take from your gaming cores. Have you looked at any 'pulled' Xeons? You can get large amounts of cores on the cheap for older generations of processors. As the companies pull them, to upgrade, they basically fire sale them.

I did search as your suggestion. I found a used Xeon e5 2670 Which is pretty equal to 7600k and the compatible Motherboard coast me around 30000 bucks which is beyond budget..
Used pc pats market not as good as us market,

If you're bogging down on a 2500k, the newer i5's won't be much better.

As other suggested, a CPU with more cores, a larger overclock, or offloading the streaming to the GPU through a different program is your best bet.

Yes, definitely. Or the regular 7700. Not more cores, but hyperthreading gives it more threads to work with.
