Hello,

I was thinking of hosting a Minecraft server on my computer, and I didn't know if my Intel core i5 4670K (Quad core - clocked at 3.4Ghz) could handle about 200 people online with, 100Mbits of Up/Down speed + 16Gb of RAM. I'm not sure about this so can anyone please tell me if the processor is good enough for this kind of task? I also have the option of overclocking as the processor is unlocked.

Any help is appreciated,

I use my i5-2500k as a minecraft server and it runs cool and quiet. Just make sure to not overclock to the point it becomes unstable and I recommend a high end air cooler eg. the Noctua DH-14 or water cooler eg. Corsair H75, H80, or H100i to ensure it does not overheat.
