Hello, I'm planning on building my own PC but is wondering which CPU to purchase. For rendering, which one would be better? Intel Core i7 2600k vs Core i7 3770k? oh and for over-clocking too?

You guys made up your mind, like I am trying to set some OC record. I know it runs hot, I was just trying to run it (play with it to see how much it is faster than mine 2600K. U don't get every day to run 2 fast CPU's next to each other, do u?), but the guy was next to me.

I don't really care for the benchmarks. I said that many times in the forum, from the storage to mobos.

Today was first time I run cinebench benchmark, (after there was some thread about it) to see if my number can be comparable to what others have : )

U guys play games, I don't. I use my PC for encoding and editing.

i updating the previus post i suspect you had above 100 to the system the capacitors thing...

i need only system and cores nothing else.

if you have the system above 100 c the heat spreads as i show you with the camera! in my post please read this!
The capasitors are starting to malfunctioning by the hour!! there is to much copper near to your cpu unlike mine the heat is spreading faster than me all over the motherboard...

i mean you have no idea what is going on trully! i blieved you will damage your hardware with 1 hour and you hunding me to kill me, no kidding!

don't repeat this in an ivy becarefull Nikorr managed to make look poor the best cpu cooler. I have the same read again the post i gave, get Raven Rv03 try to add a second cooler from behind and leave it out of the box to stop the spread effect everything i wrote was infront of your eyes and you didn't see it.

anyway i'm gone.... cya later..

You didn't read my Bloomfield thread ? Everyting new to the issue i report it in there. The overheating is not related with OC or how good cooler you got with plain english these prossesors are sending 16 times slower the HEAT to the Heat Spreader of the cpu from any existed CPU online.

There is no water cooling beter than air they tried once freon 'friently' they naver make it to the top (search Tom's Hardware) with NH-D14 if you maximize the air flow you will be +2 +5 C above the ambient temprature in your room.

What i'm writing is 100% accurate i posted screenshots in here:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/341835-10-bridge-wait

I suggest you read again my bloomfield link in the bottom i have 2 fluxed soldier transfer condactivity sandy bridge processors for LGA 2011 if you like.

No, I did read the link you've posted, but I also been suggested to many other articles that favors first time pc builders to go ahead and trail with 3770k since its only 45$ more and has potential to be better at rendering than the overclocked 2600k and 2700k. :/ I understand the overheating is a big issue, I'm not a super gamer person that's just looking to push my pc above and beyond, I just want a good system to do my work. And trust me if I had more money I'd skip all this and get the 39something something that's apparently way way better but I just can't... so... I guess life is tough...

I did also look at the xeon dual cpu thingy and the multi-threading, but it got too confusing...lol

and also, I'm currently on a old-ass macbook pro that has a overheating issue and a bad battery issue; i don't think anything could be worse anyway~ I'm just looking to put something in that phantom case cuz that thing is soooo pretty~!! :D

There is no cooling method that can keep you happy with these chips you will forced to operate at 1.6 Ghz idle while at the same time any existed cpu online dosen't drop below 2Ghz!

Something more i can do many people comming here with ivy cpu's heat problems and the only thing i do for them is to give my bloomfield nothing else i know i CAN"T help them.

Ps Amuffin what do you think are we goana save this one?

without graphics card you can't see nothing in the screen but some times the people call it video card!

The thing is some video cards exist and they are something else...

Yes you need to buy a wifi card if you like.

well, of course if it glares really badly; but mostly i'm concerned with brightness of it, i like being able to adjust it easily.
