I would swap the CPU cooler to the Noctua NH-D14, but you are in good shape. The MB is overkill unless you are aiming for an overclock above 4.5GHz. The ASUS Z87-A is a good option also and will support good OC. No memory listed or PSU. Stick with DDR3-1600 CL8 / CL9 1.5v memory modules. For a PSU look for an offering from Antec, Corsair, XFX or Seasonic. A quality 550w unit is fine for a single GTX 780Ti, but go with an 750w/850w if you are planning on adding a second GPU at a later time.

I'm getting the Fractal Design Newton R3 1000w 80+ Platinum Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply for my PSU and the Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory for the memory

I run a similar rig - i7 / 16gb / SSD / HDD / DVD all on a Corsair 620W PSU so 1000W is way overpowered......unless you want to add another Gfx for SLI or Phsyx.

You could get the Gigabyte Windforce3 780ti OC and lower power PSU to save some money but it looks like a nice build to me.

I would not game over Wifi unless I had no option.

If money is not an issue he could get Asus Z9PED8-WS, two Xeon E5-4657L v2, quad SLI of GTX-780ti's or R9 290X CrossfireX, 128GB Corsair Dominator Platinum, 1TB Samsung 840 EVO two H100i etc. etc. etc......

Ooooh I just won the lottery. Do you know someone who can build this for me? I would rather RAID the SSDs and get some more though. Or even one of those PCI-E SSD thingys. (sarcasm - lowest form of wit).
