Hello to community!
Some months ago I built my new desktop.
As CPU I have an Intel Core i7 5960X ES and as mobo the Asus X99-PRO/USB 3.1
I use CPU-Z and Open Hardware Monitor to monitoring the CPU and I see that the CPU max speed is 2.805MHz (2,80GHz).
Also on Window's Task Manager I see a speed of 2,77GHz.
As I know, the normal clock speed for 5960X is 3,00GHz....
I have in mind that ES CPUs maybe could have different clock speed from the final products, but how I could be sure that, the -200MHz speed is about my ES version and not by Motherboard's BIOS settings?
Do I have to change any BIOS Settings to "fix" it?
I attached a screenshot from CPU-Z.
Any advice or information about my case would be very useful for me.
If you need any other information from me, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
