Hello all. I'm fairly new to overclocking and just recently purchased an Intel Core i7-6700K and an Asus Maximus IX Hero. Stock voltage with 4.2ghz turbo ranges from 1.205-1.210 and temps at stock are in the mid 50s to lower 60s. However, I recently decided to try my luck at overclocking and was able to achieve a so-far stable overclock at 4.5ghz with 1.265 volts ( Set to 1.250 in bios. ) Temps at this level range from mid 60s to lower 70s, with a max of about 80 on the hottest core. I was wondering if these voltages and temperatures were safe for this level of overclock and just how much degradation if any would occur at said voltages. Thanks to all who reply and have a nice day/night.

Specs:
Intel Core i7-6700K
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Asus Maximus IX Hero
16gb Corsair LPX DDR4 3200mhz
GTX 1060
Seasonic X-850 Gold

I have a Cryorig H7 on my i5 7600k running at 4.5Ghz, and the Vcore is similarly near the 1.260V-1.272V range on auto while running OCCT at the most stressful, reaching 79C on average and the occasional spikes to 82C. I would say you're good. You don't have to worry about degradation so long as you're not running those frequencies at full load 24-7 :)
