I am planning to upgrade my PC for Battlefield V. Which is the best option?

Intel Core i7 8700K + GTX 1070 + 16GB RAM

OR

AMD Ryzen 2700x + GTX 1070 + 16GB RAM

The Intel has the better performance per core which is needed for gaming but depending on the resolution the difference could be minimal. The good thing about Ryzen is that AMD is using the AM4 socket until 2020 so the AMD build gives you a better upgrade path....however having a top of the line CPU such as the 8700K should last at least 5 years for gaming....so if the price was the same I'd probably go Intel.

Well, with a gtx 1070, the difference would not be huge... It won't even be noticeable so, I would get an 2700X... But if you are planning on a gtx 1080 or more in the future, then go for the 8700K
