My CPU was showing high temps so i went in my bios of Asus rampage 3 extreme, and reset everything to default. After that it did not post, kept restarting. Out of trying everything i lowered the number of active cores to 2 and it worked fine. As soon as increase the cores it starts restring in a loop. I cleared my cmos, I tried different rams but I think the issue might be with the cpu.

Any idea why thing could be happening and what could be a solve for it ?

Thanks guys for your suggestions the overall sense that I got was that those cores are lost so might as well upgrade.
I bought a new 5820k with a sabertooth x99. Thanks guys for your support.
