As the title says, is it ok if my cpu's temp goes around 70C or even 74C. When idle, the temp is 40 C. I've used as many fans as possible, along with the room's temperature. Answers would be appreciated 😉

Specs:
Intel core i7 4770 3.4 ghz (non k)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 manli extreme edition 2 GB
RM750 corsair
Gigabyte gaming 3 GA-Z97X
16 gb ram ddr3

Solution

ok thx, btw my GPU is overclocked (60-65C), does it affect the temperature of the CPU also?

It may slightly, due to the temperature inside your case getting a little hotter, but not by much.

An aftermarket cpu cooler is a good idea anyway as it keeps it cooler and quieter then the stock cooler.

I assume your cooling system is running OK, though it's always a better idea to disconnect and reconnect the cooler and cpu fan.
Also, is just the CPU showing high temperature or the mobo also shows high temperature ?
Is that GPU temperature under load or in idle ? if it is in idle, it is a bit higher than normal.
Reset to your default BIOS settings and update your BIOS and see if it helps.
Lastly and very importantly, the PSU you are using is of questionable quality.

Try to use a spare PSU, if available and see if it helps.

My I7 3770K idles at around 25°C, 40° sounds like it may be a little too high for a 4th gen. Your max temp is definitely within the safe boundaries, my CPU's maximum temp before it'll shut down is 105°. I have no idea what the max temp my CPU has reached though sorry. I'd say 70°C is acceptable if you're using the stock cooler (by the way, I am). If you're worried though, make sure that the cooler is installed correctly, if it moves at all when you hold the cooler then it isn't on properly. It must be pushed up against the CPU with a considerable amount of force. You could also try taking it off and checking that your thermal paste is adequate.

my GPU is 60 C during gaming, and the motherboard temp is 28 C 😉
I bought the PC just a week ago, so I havent messed with the mobo settings yet..

If that is under load, then the temperatures are perfectly OK. No need to panic.
