Why the qualifier when the competing AMD 3000 series also don't have iGPU ? The competing AMD 3000 series CPUs also need better than the stock cooler to overclock competitively with this CPU performance in games.

No, the AMD version is only a 65 watt CPU, and is cheaper, and includes a very good stock cooler. You don't need to buy a better one to hit your max 4.3ghz OC. The stock cooler is rated for up to 105 watts, maybe you haven't seen how beefy the RGB Prism cooler is. This 9900kf price is better than earlier. I might buy one if it drops to $379 or less.

Maybe the reviewers of the 3900x like Igor and many others are using closed water loop coolers on the 3900x reviews just the fun of it. Also from this review:

"We regularly observed our Ryzen 9 3900X maintaining an all-core 4.1 GHz during our testing, while the Ryzen 7 3700X often peaked at 4.125 GHz. "

I have a 3900x at 4.15with a Vcore of 1.248 for now but I have had it at 4.25with a Vcore of 1.298 and I am checking for longterm stability. Oh and it's using the stock prism cooler with temps never exceeding 75 C.
