[SOLVED] Intel cpu and motherboard

I currently have a Msi gaming plus Z370 motherboard. Can I get an i7-8700k and overclock it with out any problems?

Well, it depends on how far you will overclock it and CPU cooler capability.

I have a Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite ML240L already and that looks like a nice board but I already have the gaming plus and don’t really want to put money into a new motherboard

Normal overclock is still possible but for extreme overclock you might need better motherboard that has good power delivery.

When I wrote that, I was under the impression that you were shopping for a motherboard. Will the MSI Z370 Gaming Plus support the I7 8700K, yes it will.
