Hi,

Sometimes ago I read an article about CPU cooler of the i7-5960X processor. Unfortunately I cant find it anymore. I read something about an intel cooler or a corporation with another company for building a cooler.

Does somebody know of a Intel 5960X cooler?

ah, the all-in-one liquid cpu cooler? IIRC, that one was for the older lga 2011 cpus. here's an article on it:

intel had another one called TS13X, can't find an article on it though. this article has a photo of it.

newegg claims asetek...
The 5960X doesn't come with a built in cooler. Intel assumes that those who buy it will get a very good air or water cooler, regardless of the stock cooler.

If you just need a cooler that will do the job, then I recommend a Corsair H60 or better. If you want to overclock, then I recommend a Corsair H100i, or better.

For air cooling,

For watercooling, http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Edition-Liquid-CW-9060010-WW/product-reviews/B009VV56TY/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_btm?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending

If it does come with that, then the OP should abandon all ideas of overclocking with it. This is basically a tall stock cooler with a bigger copper slug. If a stress test or a taxing workload was thrown at a 5960X with this, then it's almost guaranteed to throttle. Besides, the basic stock cooler isn't suitable for overclocking an i7 4790k, and a 5960X is basically 2 4790K's put together, so overclocking isn't possible with it.

just linked to the article OP seemed to be inquiring about.

yes, I know it does not come with a cooler.

thanks de5_roy, but its not that I was seeking :-(

If I remember correctly it was somethinge more sophisticated, only can remember it started with the letter A.

possibly both were built by asetek. can't confirm it.
