Question Intel CPU for Windows 10

Hi!

Is there a chance that I might buy a too new Intel CPU for using it with Windows 10?

It should just run really stable for using Office, web browser and copying files via USB.

If you don't want to spend too much on a computer that just needs to run the above tasks, any Intel Core2 Quad (like Q9550 or Q9650) paired with 8GB RAM will do the job.

If I want a very snappy system and buy some 12th or 13th gen Intel, would Windows 10 park processes on E-cores that better would land on P-cores? Or is it possible to buy hardware where I can't fix the quirks that 12th gen once had?
I've come to the conclusion that using Windows 11 for its scheduler is something I should consider. Yet I'm still struggling with the new GUI.

So, what would you advice?

Windows 11, and get used to the small UI differences.

Win 10 falls off support in Oct 2025. There is little reason to buy/build a PC today, and only run Win 10.
