Intel CPU gets 100 degree at Load

Hi,

I have following case https://www.zebronics.com/products/cabinet-intermediate/desire (many pics there of it's inside)

Recently got my intel stock cooler replaced by intel .
Now I am getting very bad cpu temp under load.
Cpu temps reaches near 90-100 degree within 2 min.

I have tested this with Handbrake and plex encoder only. Even a bit load in chrome causes temp difference by 5-10 degree.
But as soon as cpu goes to idle temp stays at around 35 degree.i can't figure out whats wrong.

The stock cooler came with pre applied paste so i didn't bother removing it. And i have made sure heatsink is tightly seated .

** The only thing i can feel is not enough air is going out the case, i have no rear case , earlier i had zebronics psu and I could feel hot air going out if i put my hand behind the case vent. Now i have corsair psu and i can hardly feel air (very low amount air) going out through back.

P.s . I have two side intake fan only

Any idea what could be wrong ? I don't think i can put a rear exhaust fan on my case.. should i make one of the side fan pulling air out?

Thanks

Specs for your case offer 2x 80mm side Fans so fit them. Ventilation and air flow in your case are very important.
Your chip running those temps for long periods will degrade the CPU so don't use it with those temperatures.
Upgrade the CPU cooler to a decent aftermarket cooler as either the one you have is not adequate or you have not applied your thermal paste correctly.
Some thermal pastes are bad so get AS5 or MX4 which have excellent thermal conductivity.

TheIRLguy: Just looking at the pics for the case you claim to have shows me you have enough cooling capability. You actually have three fan mounting spots. The two 80mm fan locations are optional since you have a spot for a rear 120mm fan right below your PSU mounting area. The reason that mesh is there is to mount a fan. If you don't have a fan as an exhaust there, then you need to get one. You have hot temps and no airflow because you failed to have an exhaust fan at the rear. Read the manual that comes with the case.

yeap im already going to purchase aftermarket cooler.but even with stock. cooler its very odd. the heatsink came with pre applied paste so i didn't bother removing. anyway to check if the paste gone bad or something. ?

yeap, i can see them from back of motherboard and its set there pretty tight.

Chugalug_ wrote: That case looks crap for airflow, not the coolers fault, just pure bad airflow.
Given you're in India I also recommend an aftermarket cooler.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

thanks yea. ill consider a case (later) but i searched online for it but end up with either a shit looking case or something that is very high price like 8k
. The one you suggested is decent. would you please point me some (a list or a site) good looking and similar cases? thanks.

some good fan suggestions please if possible?
i guess it didn't came with manual or lost it. :-(

That case is the best value you're going to get for the money, the lower the better right? :)
You don't need to spend more than you need to solve the issue.
Don't bother getting aftermarket fans, just get a new case, it'll come with fans, also a CPU cooler as posted above.

That you can see them from the back means exactly squat.

The CPU ramping up to 100C in 2 minutes is NOT a lack of case fans or ventilation.
This is almost certainly a poorly connected CPU cooler, or a CPU cooler with no thermal paste.

With the CPU cooler 'replacement', did you clean the CPU face of whatever old gunk was on there?

yea. i was actually looking for various designed cases available at that price range if (possible)

yeap . i cleaned it with a cotton ear stick (did not had alcohol or spirite)
maybe the intel stock thermal paste is bad ? (but that is brand new replacement from intel.... the delivery invoice shocks me though. it says intel stock cooler costs $2.5 , where the cpu is i5-4690k. LOL but im with stock for 1 year. )

The rear of the case, not the back of the motherboard tray. That's your problem right there.

he was actually talking about those push pins of intel cooler.

and oh i would like to show you http://imgur.com/p1Kou4r. (rotate the pic by 90 d) ,you mean i can put a fan there ? i thought i dont have place for rear fans :bounce:
