Hey all,

I build gaming computers on the side using parts from Craiglist and other resale markets. One issue that I've been running into is understanding which CPU is compatible with a particular (h, b or z) Mobo. What I've been doing so far is looking up each CPU individually and then researching its mobo compatibility. I have been trying to find one chart or resource that explains this that way I don't have to keep looking up each one. I'm only interested in Gen 6 and above.

Has anyone found a chart that links all of this information together for simplicity's sake?

Solution
One does not exist.
LGA 1151
6th gen: 100 & 200 series motherboards
7th gen: 100(bios must be updated using the previous gen cpu) & 200 series motherboards

LGA 1151 V2
8th gen: all 300 series motherboards
9th gen: B360, H310, H370, and Z370 require bios update in the same manner as the 7th gen. B365 and Z390 work out of the box.
The V2 is omitted for some unknown reason.
Intel has never bothered to update that information, and because of that, neither have the retailers. It has caused some confusion for people looking to upgrade from their 6th and 7th gen cpus.

Thank you! Do you have a list of the H, B, and Z numbers for said series?
