Until recently, intel was easily the go to for the best and reliable cpus, then amd became the best with their Epyc cpus for servers and stuff, but now they're also the best for gaming... I don't have much experience with amd stuff any more or at all really. only really used some laptops years ago that had issues going to another display that intel laptops didn't give me. I also, would hear there are compatibility issues with amd, then eventually that some games work better for amd over intel, there are some games that are more cpu intensive, and then there's AMD's freesync premium/freesync premium pro vs Nvidia's g-sync/g-sync premium, is there an intel equivalent?
I currently have the intel i7 13700k (with no issues, got lucky i guess... but maybe now since marvel rivals is opening 10 times for and it's saying i don't have direct x 12 and unreal engine errors, fixed by restarting my pc now, so never mind), I'm used to i guess status quo that intel is reliable and better, now looks like that's changed and/or that it's more complicated.
So are there still compatibility issues? What all things should i know about amd that's changed over 8 yrs?
