Intel Debuts Unlocked CPUs; Win a CyberPower PC

looks like Intel wants to snatch up all the market it can before bulldozer drops..... nothing like some good o'l competition

They should unlock all their processors. They also need to stop selling $1000 processors that are basically the same thing as a $300 processor. The 980x is somewhat of an exception, but still at $1000 it's a huge rip off.

don't enter it than. better for the rest of us

"$1500 PC give away and it only includes a GTS 250. This contest = FAIL."

PSSH this contest = Awesome! If I win I will just have to take the couple grand I am saving up in my new PC fund and drop it all on a new graphics card, and a couple 27inch monitors!

If I win, I promise to put healthier food in all the school's vending machines and end world hunger! Oops, I got this confused with my school presidential election. Actually, I was just making a joke. I'm 30. Vote for Pedro!

They will always be for the US only until all the other countries get rid of the craptastic rules and regulations that make companies pay out the ass and jump through hoops just to give something away. Blame your countries, states, territories ect.

I recently "rebuilt" a Cyberpower PC for someone. It was one of the lowest quality builds I have ever seen. The CPU cooler was installed improperly, excess cables were bundled with twist ties, thumb screws that came with the case were replaced with standard screws, they used an IDE optical drive (on a 2009 PC), etc, etc.

Also, their customer service was just a joke. This person dealt with a very unfriendly
customer service rep. plus had to pay for shipping on a warrantee claim.

This was a $2500 machine. There is no excuse for such poor craftsmanship.
I’d take one for free, but I would rebuild the thing before I would ever even power it up.
JUNK.

1156 socket, WTF, nice move Intel, make a performance processor that is unlocked but only for the non performance 1156 boards. If anything this should be a 1366 socket chip.

[citation][nom]CoryInJapan[/nom]Good luck and god bless to all who entered.I pray and know that the one that needs it the most will receive this blessing.[/citation]

Your welcome to your own opinions and all........but can you please just give it a rest already?
