I have an Intel DH55TC Motherboard and this was the last known working configuration:
Intel Core i5 660
8 GB RAM (4 x 2GB)
EVGA NVidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti
400W iMicro PSU
Creative SoundBlaster Titanium Sound Card
1 TB WD Black HDD
I haven't booted the computer for almost half a year and I decided to upgrade the parts before I booted it again. I tried to add a new Core i7 860 CPU and EVGA GeForce GTX 660 to the PC. However, upon booting up, the motherboard will just starting beeping twice, then stop, then repeat those two long beeps.
I tried removing the new stuff I added and putting the original parts back in, but it will either result in the same two long beeps, a single short beep then a few seconds later the same two long beeps, or the motherboard won't even POST.
I'm currently trying a CMOS reset to see if that will do anything, but I've always been having trouble with this motherboard in the past (similar problems). Will upgrading the PSU to a 600W or higher PSU fix all the problems? Or in addition to that, should I just get a new LGA 1156 motherboard all together (I plan to eventually because I want to SLI two GTX 660's and this motherboard doesn't have enough slots)?
