Hi, I have an Intel DH55TC board with i3 processor working with Windows 8.1. I have 4 gb of RAM in my pc (2 chips of 2GB each both 1333 MHz), I decided to increase the RAM and then I got a corsair Vengence 8gb DDR3 RAM(1600MHz) but it didn't support the board. PC always just restarted every it reached the Windows logo in the start up.They said it must be because the RAM is 1600 Mhz. Then I got a 1333 MHz 8GB RAM online and the same thing happened. I even tried removing my old RAMs and kept only the new 8GB module and the same thing happened HELP!!!

Solution
The P55 chipset is an older one. It supports up to 4GB sticks (not 8GB natively), and designed for DRAM using lower density memory chips than the high density used by most DRAM today. Would look at the original Ripjaws from GSkill (not the X or Z sets) or their entry NT DRAM
