I have a Intel motherboard DH61WW with i7 3770 @3.4ghz
Ram - 16gb Kingston @1666

I am planning to upgrade my GPU from gtx 760 2gb to 1080 ti msi edition...

Will it be compatible with the current configuration or do I need to upgrade something else too..?

Also will it create any bottleneck issues if I just upgrade to a 1080ti???

Solution
I think you want to do in future some SLI with 1080 ti and you want to overclock your processor, so I recommend getting Ryzen 7 1700 for your build with beefy air cooler, or water cooler and 16 GB of high-speed RAM: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rMHbM8 If you don't want to SLI, MSI B350 PC MATE should do fine and if you do not want to overclock you can feel free to get some cheaper cooler. If your PSU is good quality and at least 650W, it will do fine with one 1080 ti. If not, then check this PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9htWGX/evga-power-supply-100b10700k1 , or for better power efficiency this: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/R7V48d/seasonic-power-supply-ssr650rm and if you want to SLI, check this...

It will create huge bottleneck, for i7 3770 you can get maximally 1070, but there will be still noticeable bottleneck on CPU-intensive games like BF1 or GTA 5. So the best you can get to be completely bottleneck-free is GTX 1060 or RX 580. If you still rather get the 1070 over these two, be at least sure your CPU can run at maximal turbo frequency whole time you play.
