Hello i would like to ask you if i can overclock my i5 750 cpu on my intel DP55WB mobo i have a gtx 970 and 16gb ram with 600w silberstone and a thermaltake cooler and coolermaster case how can i overclock my cpu for better performance and reach the sweetspot and do i need to enable intel turbo boost technology and thank you very much.

Solution
That MB has a 95W CPU limit. I'm guessing a locked BIOS also. Here are 2 unlocked 95W LGA1156 CPUs.

The i5 655K overclocks better.

Throttlestop 8.xx software can control multipliers and Voltage in Windows on locked BIOS MBs, and on unlocked CPUs raise them also. here's a thread on this.

Here are the kind of results it can produce. Mine is #2,( See my sig.) You will notice that the next few places are all Dells with locked BIOS MB...

Here's another TS overclocked Dell.

If you can get one of these CPUs to boot you should be good to go.

Solution
I was referring to the 2 CPUs I linked in the previous post. They're both unlocked and were suggested for the OPs overclocking question.
The i5 655K is 2 core 4 thread unlocked CPU under 95W. It overclocks well.
The i7 875K is 4 core 8 thread unlocked 95W CPU. It's more powerful but hits a wall at 4GHz.
I guess that wasn't clear if you didn't follow the links I provided the OP. The 95W limit is required by that MB. The unlocked CPU is required by the locked BIOS.
I made the 2nd post as a correction because I had implied the i5 655K was better than the i7 875K because I thought it was 4 core like the I5 750 you provided. So my recommendation is not the i5 655K but the i7 875K unlocked alternative.
