Question Intel DZ68BC bios for "newer" video cards

Just trying to help my friend upgrade from a HD 5850 to an RX 460, and the I get no video display. Using an HDMI capable monitor.

I suspect it is the bios. Not found at the Intel site any more.

Is there a bios for his motherboard that can read these RX cards? There must be a dark hidden place such things are kept for moments like these.

Registered to post here since I came across this thread in google. If you're still hoping to solve this OP, I believe I had the exact issue with being stuck on E4 when I got a new video card, AMD R9 280 which is just a refresh of the 7950. I managed to get my system to work by updating the bios to 0042, as when I discovered it's release notes this was one of the 'fixes' noted:

 Fixed issue where system hangs when inserting certain graphic cards.
I'm thinking this could be the solution for you since our AMD cards are fairly similar, to which it also has the system hang at the same point.

I was surprised at the time that there was no other mention of this problem, but it got my computer to function relatively fine, until I got a 1070 and brought it back down to 0037.

This is interesting. This one has an i7-2600K CPU in it. It was running HD 5850s in Crossfire and very stable.

Note: BIOS ships with 0021... update to 0028 for best i7-2xxx support or 0042 for i7-3xxx support. Updating to .0035 - .0039 not suggested. These boards will not support 3RD generation processors without updating the BIOS to at least .0035. Some processors need a third party video card or BIOS update to POST.
