Hello,
I am currently living in the states and there are some crazy cyber monday deals around.
I am going to buy a gaming pc for around $1200, but not going to be able to use it until some time in January.
Therefore I have a couple of questions that I'd be glad if anyone wanted to answer?
1) Should I buy now (since it's cyber monday), or wait for christmas sale?
2) What are the best sites to buy a customized pre-built pc? I've been looking at www.ibuypower.com and www.cyberpowerpc.com
3) This is a build I have in my cart
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3570K 3.40 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1155 (All Venom OC Certified)
HDD: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD [+0] (Single Drive)
MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1866MHz Dual Channel Memory (Corsair Vengeance [Free upgrade from 1600MHz Major Brand])
MOTHERBOARD: [CrossFireX] GIGABYTE GA-Z77-D3H Intel Z77 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ IRST, Lucid Virtu MVP, Ultra Durable4 Classic, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, 2x Gen3 PCIe x16, 3x PCIe x1 & 2 PCI (Extreme OC Certified) [+17]
SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
VIDEO: AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card [+182] (Major Brand Powered by AMD)
It all ends up at around $1500, but this is with certain features included such as:
* 20% overclocking (price: $50)
* Liquid cooling system (price: $63),
* 800W Power supply
* Intel Pro Gigabit 10/100/1000 Network Card (price: $34)
* Keyboard (price: $34)
* 802.11b/g/n 300 Mbps Wireless Card + External 2.4G 5 Dbi Omni-Directional Wireless Antenna (price: $39)
* 2x HDMI (price: $20)
* Microsoft 8
* Some features like ultrasafe packaging, professional wiring etc (total price: $48)
4) As a perk I get this free:
"GIGABYTE GC-WB300D Exclusive Bluetooth 4.0/WiFi PCIe Expansion Card"
Is this the same as a wireless internet card? (So I don't have to buy the wireless card in question number 3?)
5) I am going to do mostly programming on the computer, but I also want to be able to have a fast powerhouse of a computer for gaming (even though I am only playing stuff like Crysis, Battlefield, CoD, HoN occasionally). Therefore I am going with 2 monitors, but perhaps I should be able to upgrade to 3. Any tips regarding this? For example, should I change the video card?
