Question Intel Graphics Card Takes 1760 MB of Shared Ram

I am on a Laptop with a integrated system. My Problem is that my graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 4000) is taking too much of my ram. I have 4gb of ram on my computer but instead I am only able to use around 2gb, cant even run many apps or a high demanding game. Is this normal? By the way when an app needs more ram It just doesnt get reduced at all. Is this a problem?

Look in the bios for reserved vram and set it to a low value. Igpu will use as much ram for vram as it needs but limiting vram in the bios should reduce how much ram is dedicated.

Should be a standard feature. Mightve missed it. Can't do much in this regard besides getting more ram.

What laptop is it? I'll try look for info on bios.

Its pretty outdated and im guessing ill have to upgrade ram but its a Dell Inspiron 15 3521
