Intel graphics media accelerator driver won't update on windows 7

I've been trying to download the intel graphics media accelerator driver for my windows 7 but the status always turns out failed

Is it a laptop (or a factory-built PC)?

If yes, download the driver only from the laptop or PC manufacturer's website, not from Intel's website.
If that fails too, restart Windows and try again.

In any event, if existing driver version is working okay you don't need to update it.
Updating any driver to the latest version is neither compulsory nor necessary unless you're existing version is causing problems.
